The Complete Book of Caribbean Cooking - hardback w/ DJ

by Elizabeth Lambert Ortiz, M. Evans Publishing, 1973. Pathfinding, necessary book, but out of print. Hardback, with pictorial DJ, 450 pages. If you're looking for only one text about the cooking of the island nations of the Caribbean from Cuba and Jamaica to St. Kitts and Martinique, this is it. Among the islands, there are many variations of (to pick a few) curries of all kinds, salt cod stew or baccala, tripe stew or Mondongo, and the author tells us all. Recipes of all the countries are listed within categories -- soups, fish and shellfish, meats, etc. Front of DJ has original aqua border with center tableaux by Moneta Barnett. Highly recommended. Condition -- Very Nice -- VG+/VG+.
