Cooking the Caribbean Way - Mary Slater (hardback)

by Mary Slater, Hamlyn (UK), first edition, 1965. Getting harder to find in the U.S. British author gives us authentic recipes from all the islands, from Antigua to Tobago. We found many we're going to try, like the Barbados Crab Gumbo, which has nothing to do with New Orleans gumbo, but employs cream and sherry. Rum-soaked desserts and drinks chapters are also strong. Hardback, with DJ, 256 pages. (We have the same book in mass market paperback). Condition: Book is clean (no notes, underlines, etc.) DJ shows wear, but still a strong VG+/VG.
