Burgundy - A Comprehensive Guide....

by Robert M. Parker, Jr., Simon & Schuster, first edition, 1990. Heavy hardback with DJ, 1052 pages. The author, who of course is the long-time publisher of The Wine Advocate, outdoes even his heralded effort. Boprdeaux, in this volume. Descriptions of the region's vineyards with more than 30 specially produced color maps depicting the whereabouts of every appellation in "exquisite detail." Parker calls the region capable of producing "the world's most majestic, glorious, and hedonistic red and white wine." Book looks like it might have actually been read, but still VG+/VG+.
