From Julia Child's Kitchen

by Julia Child, 1999 Gramercy/Random House reprint edition of the 1975 publication. Hardback with DJ, 677 pages plus index. This was the book in which Julia began offering recipes for classic and contemporary American food (as well as more French fare).

Typical of her humor throughout the book is her inclusion of a New Yorker cartoon on the section about cooking lobsters, a 'toon she says she taped up in her kitchen. It shows an unsmiling maid or cook wearing a service apron with a boiling pot in the background. In one hand, she has grabbed a lobster out of a wooden basket. In her other hand is a gun. Pristine condition: A strong VG+/VG+.

... Another copy, original Knopf, 1977 third printing. Hardback, no DJ. Nice condition: VG+/--. Same price. Email us to let us know which copy you choose.
