The publishers decided that on the 25th anniversary of the publication of her lauded The Jewish Holiday Kitchen to bring out a compendium volume that would include her equally well-received The Jewish Holiday Baker, plus new recipes. The author's M.O. is to tie the recipes to the people and settings that nurtured them, and she does that just about as well as anybody writing. Recommended. VG+/VG+.
