Pristine Vintage Yellow Cousances / Le Creuset Saucepan

This is a pristine vintage Cousances enameled cast iron sauce pan with lid. It holds 3 1/2 cups. It has a deep, almost butterscotch yellow exterior; creamy white color inside. It has a integrated hollow handle, and a typical non-enameled (but sealed) dark bottom. It measures 6 ¼” in diameter and holds approximately one quart. The integrated round hollow handle means the saucepan can be used in the oven as well as the stovetop. The French master enamellers in the town of Ville Sur-Cousance were said to produced the best enamelware in the world. It was bought out by rival Le Creuset in 1957, but cookware bearing the Cousances brand continued into the early ‘80s. Marked within a circle on the bottom: “16 Cousances Made In France.” Condition: Flawless inside and out – As New.
