They were taken by Genthe, the important German-American photographer, during the dancer's 1915-1918 visit to America at the height of her career. Foreword by Max Eastman. Black ribbed cloth over boards with titles and vignette in gilt. Photos printed on rectos (right side pages) only. No page numbers. Photos 1-10 are head shots; 11-24 posed recreation action shots. All photos approx. 5 7/8" X 7 1/2."

Condition: Covers very good, with only the most minor of rubbing and shelf wear. Pages are near pristine: unsoiled, no writing, no previous owner's signature, faint staple marks on two opening blank pages. Overall, a strong VG.
