Enjoy - More Recipes from The Best of Bridge (2nd in Series)

By Karen Brimacombe, Linda Jacobson and others, ed., Best of Bridge Publishing Limited. A publishing phenomenon in Canada. It's a series of handsome, spiral-bound home-cooking cookbooks (with the accent on desserts) initially conceived in 1976 by eight Bridge-playing housewives and their friends from the town of Calgary, in Alberta, Canada. The cookbooks also feature hand lettering by Norm W. Hodgins and color presentation photographs dotted here and there. Very informal, chatty narratives and descriptions.

The books are Best of Bridge (1976), Enjoy (1979), Winners (1984), Grand Slam (1988), Aces (1992), That’s Trump (1995). Following those original five are a series of “bests” volumes: The Rest of the Best and More (2004), A Year of the Best (2008), The Rest of the Best and More (2008), The Complete Best of Bridge Cookbooks Vol. 1. Bravo! Best of Bridge Cookbook (2009) and The Complete Best of Bridge Cookbooks, Vol. 2 (2010). Together, they have sold more than 3.2 million copies.

We will feature those we’ve been lucky enough to run across – but remember, we only have one copy apiece to offer at the present time.

Sadly, seven of the original editors/contributors have passed away, but a new generation of bridge-playing cook/editors soldier on, adding an online Best of Bridge store and recipes.

Most of our copies have either a previous owner’s name, a presentation card or inscription on the inside title page. They are all VG+.

Note to potential Canadian customers: we suggest purchasing copies in your fair land, because U.S. postal rates to Canada are exorbitant.
